Web Form Mapping

To Map your form fields to custom data points in the CharityEngine CRM, navigate to the Layout tab of your form, and select the form field you want to map. Click on the pencil icon to manage the form field.



You will be navigated to manage the field. To map the field section, go to the mapping tab.



When you are mapping your field, you have several ways to map it. You can map by the CRM, the Contact, the transaction, the email, the case, and by polls and surveys. Use the tabs to map by each section.

Once you select the CRM Custom Field Mapping from the drop-down, radio buttons will appear for you to select the type of mapping. You will be able to select None, Create Only, Create & Update, and Update Only.



None: The none option will not update or create any records or transactions.



Create Only: the create only will add the new data if it is missing from the contact. If the data has already been entered, it will not override any existing data.



Create & Update: The create and update option will create a new record and update any records. For example, for mapping the tribute information, if the contact already has existing data in the custom field, then , the existing custom field will be updated with the new information.



Update Only: The update only option will update the existing custom field with new data.
