The People App in CharityEngine® is the foundation of your constituent relationship management and serves as the central hub for managing all contact records across your organization. Every action in CharityEngine begins with a contact record, making Contacts the core of the platform's functionality.
CharityEngine supports three contact types:
- People – Individual constituents, donors, volunteers, members, prospects, and supporters
- Households – Groups of related individuals managed together
- Organizations – Businesses, foundations, nonprofits, and other entities
From the Quick Actions menu, users can quickly create new People, Organizations, Households, Opportunities, Activities, Memberships, Cases, and Notes.
Within the Organizations & People section, you can search for and manage contact records, leads, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. The Online Now feature also allows you to see which contacts are currently active in your website or portal.
The People App extends beyond contact management and serves as a launch point for many constituent engagement activities, including:
- Opportunities – Manage fundraising and relationship-building pipelines such as grants, major gifts, sponsorships, partnership opportunities, and other revenue-generating initiatives.
- Activities – Track calls, emails, meetings, tasks, and other constituent interactions.
- Calendar – View and manage your schedule, with the ability to connect and synchronize with Microsoft Outlook or Google Calendar.
- Members – Search for and manage memberships, dues, renewals, and member records.
- Conversations – Access communication history and constituent interactions.
- Relationships – Establish and manage connections between contacts, households, organizations, and other constituents.
- Cases – Track constituent service requests, support issues, and case management activities.
- Projects & Time – Manage projects and track staff time associated with constituent engagement efforts.
- Notes & Files – Store important documentation, notes, and supporting files directly within CharityEngine.
- Popular Reports – Access commonly used reports such as LYBUNT, SYBUNT, Constituent Density, Activity Summary, and Cases Dashboard.
The People App provides a complete view of your constituents, relationships, communications, activities, opportunities, and engagement history, helping your organization build stronger relationships and manage the entire constituent lifecycle from a single location.
