General: Global Search
Introduction
Searching for content is made easy in CharityEngine by using the global search feature. This will allow you to search any type of contact record from any screen inside of CharityEngine. By setting the object and fields, the time it takes to search is reduced as it will limit the database the search is pulling from.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites to search content inside of CharityEngine
Global Search
To preform a global search on any screen in CharityEngine use the search box at the top left corner.
Use the text box to enter the object you are searching for, then use the settings on the right to specify what you are searching for
1. Object - this is the type of thing you are searching for, such as people, household, organization, or All
2. Field - identifies what you are putting in the search text box, such as Id, Name, Email Address, Address, Sync Id, or All
3. Date - identifies when the object was created
4. Fuzzy - if yes is selected, the results will include anything similar to your keyword search. If no is toggled, only exact matches will appear in results
5. Show Details - Additional details, such as email address or address for contact records.
